VIDEO: Stansted's snow patrol gears up for winter

We may still be in September but London Stansted Airport's snow clearing team is already preparing for the winter months.

In late summer each year the airport's 200 strong snow team embark on training to familiarise themselves on how to operate the fleet of 40 specialist vehicles.

The team runs through a variety of drills so they are ready to keep the 520,000sq metres of runway, taxiways and aircraft parking stands clear of snow and ice.
