Anadolujet launches flights to the Turkish capital
AnadoluJet, the low-fare arm of flag carrier Turkish Airlines, has launched direct flights between London Stansted and Ankara.
The three times a week service to the Turkish capital began on Wednesday, July 19, with flights departing Ankara Esenboğa Airport at 12:45pm and arriving at London Stansted at 3pm.
On the return leg, flights depart Stansted at 4pm and touch down at Ankara at 9.55pm.
Simon Gorrighan, Aviation Director at London Stansted, said:
“We are delighted that AnadoluJet is launching flights to Ankara from London Stansted, the only UK airport with direct scheduled flights to Turkey's capital.
“This summer, the airport will offer more flights to Turkey than ever before, making it one of the airport's most popular destinations.
“Over the peak holiday months, Jet2, Pegasus Airlines, AnadoluJet, TUI and Corendon will offer up to 113 weekly flights to six Turkish hotspots: Antalya, Ankara, Bodrum, Dalaman, Izmir, and Istanbul.
“I have no doubt that this new link will be an attractive option for both business and leisure passengers.”
Part of the Turkish Airlines brand since 2008, AnadoluJet flies domestically across the country and internationally to 95 destinations in 32 countries.
Flights to Ankara from Stansted will be operated by a Boeing 737 Max 8.
