Cyprus Airways to launch daily Stansted-Larnaca flights

London Stansted is set to gain a new daily link to Cyprus after Cyprus Airways announced plans to launch flights to Larnaca next spring.

The Larnaca-based airline will begin operating the year-round service on 23 April 2027, offering daily flights between Stansted and the popular Mediterranean destination.

The new route will provide greater choice for holidaymakers, business travellers and people visiting friends and family, while strengthening links between the UK and Cyprus.

London Stansted's Aviation Director, Simon Gorrighan, welcomed the announcement. He said:

“We're delighted to welcome Cyprus Airways to London Stansted and add even more choice for passengers travelling between the UK and Cyprus.

"Larnaca is already a very popular destination, so a new daily service is fantastic news for passengers across our region.

"We look forward to welcoming Cyprus Airways to Stansted next April and working with the airline as it develops its operation at the airport.”

Thanos Pascalis, chief executive of Cyprus Airways, said the UK remained one of the airline's most important markets. He said:

"The launch of our new service to London Stansted is an important addition to the Cyprus Airways network and reflects our continued focus on strengthening connectivity between Cyprus and the United Kingdom.

"The United Kingdom is a particularly important market for Cyprus, with strong demand across leisure, business and visiting friends and relatives.

"By adding London Stansted to our network from April 2027, we are providing our customers with greater choice and flexibility while further strengthening our presence in one of Cyprus' most significant international markets.

“We look forward to welcoming passengers on board and offering them the convenience, reliability and authentic Cypriot hospitality that define Cyprus Airways.”

The Stansted route forms part of Cyprus Airways' wider expansion plans. The airline is also launching new services from Larnaca to Rome and Munich in December 2026.

Cyprus Airways operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A220 aircraft from its base at Larnaca International Airport and flies to destinations including Paris, Milan, Athens, Heraklion, Tel Aviv, Beirut and Dubai.

Flights are available to book through the Cyprus Airways website at Cyprus Airways.
