First time-lapse video revealed of new multi-storey car park under construction

A time-lapse video of London Stansted’s new 2,686 space multi-storey car park being constructed has been released.

Builders from BAM construction are currently assembling the steel trusses which make up the frame of the six-storey structure.

The car park is scheduled to be completed by summer next year and will include electric vehicle charging points and accessibility bays.

Around 9,000 car parking spaces are being created as part of the airport's transformation project.

£600 million is being invested into facilities over the next five-years at London Stansted to improve the experience for passengers.

The centrepiece project is a new arrivals terminal which is due to open in 2020 and there are up to 40 other projects as part of the plans.
