Last call to apply for Stansted Airport Community Fund summer grants – deadline 8 August
Charities, sports clubs, and community groups across Essex and Hertfordshire are being reminded that the summer window to apply for funding from the Stansted Airport Community Fund (SACF) closes on Friday 8 August.
The fund supports a wide range of local projects within a ten-mile radius of the airport, including village halls, sports pitches, wellbeing charities, green spaces, and community facilities.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to help groups improve community life, leisure, conservation, and the local environment. There is also a larger Flagship grant of up to £50,000, awarded annually to one outstanding project.
Cllr Maggie Sutton, Chair of the SACF, said:
“We’re proud of the difference the Fund has made so far. From sports clubs and wellbeing charities to village halls and conservation groups, the funding is really helping local communities.
“We’d love to hear from more groups before the summer deadline, whether they have new ideas or projects that need extra support.”
Since the Fund’s relaunch in 2023 more than £500,000 has been awarded to organisations in the area.
The Fund is overseen by a committee of independent members, local authority representatives, and airport staff, meeting quarterly to review applications.
Local groups are encouraged to apply now before the window closes. Visit: https://www.stanstedairport.com/community/community-support/community-funds/
